VERY literate question... I applaud it.
Perhaps you mean : What will cause the fall of the Empire of the USA?

I think internal issues will destroy it. There was a time in the USA where people adhered to rules, worked hard and strove to achieve. There now appears to be a culture developing that is arrogant and thinks it deserves all the riches whilst doing none of the work. Its sad really - as there is so much greater potential...

But the cause is lazy over indulgent people - this is evidenced through a social security system over used, a failinf health care system from over use and an ever declining production rate. The USA needs to rethink its culture and decide whether it wants a holiday style nation of a rich powerful and safe nation.... because at the moment its looking like they all went for an extended vacation after the moon landings....

It could be closer than we all think. If our empire (government) decides to fabricate more reasons to go into Iran that could be the straw that breaks the camels back. The Us citizens are fed up with our cocky take over the world attitude laid out by the government. An invasion or Iran will prove fatal to our way of life and it has nothing to do with terrorism.Or another False flag terror operation could set it over the top. Blow something up make it look like it was another country or political party then get the support of your country to invade for political or monetary reasons. Food for thought did you ever hear of an empire in its quest for domination ever stop in the middle of its tracks and decide its not working or maybe its not the right thing to do. Never did, never will happen, every empire falls.

The Roman Empire never 'fell' - it was torn apart from the inside. But it was a decay that was set off with victory after victory, the dictatorship of Sulla, the triumvirate of Caesar, Pompey and Leipidus, the dicatorship of Julius Caesar, the Civil war, Octavian/Augustus, the conquest of Egypt, the deficiencies of the Julian clan - Tiberius, Caligula, Nero

I think the American 'Empire' will be the same. The U.S withdrawal from the Philippines and therefore from SE Asia, the failure of Clinton to act in Africa, the over-ambitions of George Bush in Iraq and Afghanistan.

But you know that like Rome, the American Empire will always leave a lasting legacy of technology, of humaintarian aid, of kindness and good will.

It all depends on how the U.S reflects itself in the world and how it treats its own citzens.

The same things that have always caused individuals and countries to fall - sin. The sins of pride, greed, envy, lust, hatred, murder, selfishness, etc. The same old things that were a problem from the beginning of the world will be the same things that continue to cause individuals and countries to fall until the end. Man struggles, but cannot overcome his sin nature entirely. Man can sustain good periods wherein many people prosper and a civil society is maintained. But as we have seen over and over again throughout history, the worst in mankind is always waiting to come out and destroy what is good. As a Christian, my belief is that the world will continue this path until the return of Christ.

Nothing, maybe some nukes, but we are not an empire! I'm tired of you, foriegners, thinking that we're some "EVIL EMPIRE". Okay , whose the country always lending aid, when a tsunami hits? How about an earthquake? Or when your country's been overtaken by some crack head dictator? The answers to these questions are the United States., we fight for countries like you, that seem like they can't handle it themselves. I don't know why we even waste our time with you people. So should appreacite, what we've most likely done for your country. Cuz, we did'nt have to do that, we were just being to nice like always.

Rome fell after spreading out its Army to thin to protect its huge borders. Sound familiar? Also Constantinople became a born again Christan. Unlike our country, Rome was not founded on Christianity, so I do not see any parallels in that reason. Lastly, Rome also fell because it became the worlds police force. Another parallel. I see many parallels between my United States and Rome.

If you think it is impossible for the United States to fall then let me give you something to think about. If in 1987 someone had walked up to me and said: "Next year the Soviet Union, as we know it, was going to fall and the wall in Germany was tumbling down," I would have laughed in that persons face.

Excessive immigration from all sides, drugs, killing babies (abortion), eliminating God from American life, gay marriages, and not realizing that war has been declared on America by radical islamist, and Americans running from it, is the beginning of the end for America.

But as you can see each one of this acts is a decision Americans or their government have freely taken by their own free will, not realizing its suicidal.

First we are not an empire by any stretch of the imagination. We will not fall until civilization collapses. Then it will the internal pressures that will bring us down.
