I am a Tiger Mom, in Mentor Ohio, Pack 179. We had our Pinewood Derby in Jan. It was wonderful , the boys had a great time !! The way we did was let every boy & their Dad do their cars together. You can let them know the local hobbie stores have decals and ideas. Please remind them if they buy stuff it HAS to meet Scout regulations .Here are some web sites I found for you .

Here's one pack's Website specifications (listed below). Other than the general requirements, anything goes. Have fun. Are you running it? If not you should assign one of the parents to organize it for you.
