I just stapled my index finger. it's not so deep in that it's touching my nail on the other side but it's in my finger. can it kill me lol or more likely infect me. whats the most painless way to get it out. it's in my finger as we speak.

If it were me I would either soak it in ice water or put ice on it to try and numb it. Then I would get a staple remover or a pair of pliers and pull it out. I'm sure it will bleed, which is good for a few minutes so it can clean the puncture out, but then you need to apply pressure to stop the bleeding. Then clean the wound well and apply a bandage. Your finger is going to be VERY sore. I think a puncture wound is one of the most painful wounds there is, but it will heal and you should be fine in a few days.

yeah ive done the exact same thing except it was touching my nail so get peroxide and pull the staple out quickly and then put the proxide and a bandaid on it u will be fine

Painless isn't anything. I would take a needle-nose pliers, and rip it out. It will be fast. Be ready for it to bleed.

I suggest sterilised tweezers, is there someone who can do it for you? Keep the wound clean and dry any sign of infection straight to the docs. If you are unable to get it out by yourself, fraid you will have to get a nurse or doctor to do it. Wish u good luck ouch!

Have someone else pull it out quickly. Wash it with soap & put some antibiotic cream & a band-aid on it to prevent infection.

i think it would be to take a needleand prick each side of the staple out. i know that mite be painful but hey, dont' blame me, im no psychiatrist. i havent' past college!

Umm, just pull it out. There's no less painful way to do it. Then wash your hands well and put some antibiotic ointment and a band-aid on it. You will be just fine.

toughen up and yank it out as fast as u can i stapled my self before also the pain wont last forever u can handle it!

ahmmm... don't worry, it won't kill you except if the staple has a rust... it may cause tetanus... just clean it up nicely and neatly... ^_^
