Angle: read your article.... it repeatedly refers to sun spots and the suns "brightness" as being the same thing. This brings their entire results into question.

Argle*. I would also suggest is irresponsible to suggest that anything other than the Sun is the largest factor in global temperature. (Just think about what would happen if the sun suddenly went out)

beren: good of you to at least understand that. And no I would not suggest that the atmosphere is not important... I would do know however that wapor vapor is a FAR more atmospheric factor.

Insolation is the largest factor. Astrophysicists have believed for years that global warming and cooling is due to the heating and cooling of the sun. They have documented a correlation with the number of sun spots and sun temperature. The more spots, the higher the sun's temperature. This theory better explains global warming then anything else since it also accounts for the global warming on Mars that coincides with that of the Earth.

Well duh...the sun is a first order effect and the atmosphere is a second order effect.

Are you going to try to tell that the second order effect is unimportant?

The largest factor would be all the fiction they have used up to this point to get people to jump on board that global warming is man made

The sun. Solar flares increase radiation and raise temperatures and also interfere with communications transmissions.

CO2 emissions. The Sunspot theory does add, but very little. Claiming it's a major contributor is irresponsible. I'd guess that was a hate radio type.
