No lock is unbreakable. Master locks are supposed to be the better ones though.

Unbreakable Padlock

It depends on the model, but in short, no. The ones that use the keys can be picked, and the ones with the combinations can be cracked (it takes some time). I have PE in school, and sometimes people put Master locks on other people's lockers (yeah, i know...its a waste) but luckily the PE teachers have bolt cutters, and i have never seen a lock that could not be cut with them.

You can also freeze the lock and hit it with a hammer, or just stick with a sledgehammer.

All locks can be defeated. Some are just more difficult than others. Master does not make a " high security [s-283]" lock, as far as I know. But they make cheap to better than average locks, which can provide excellent security, for a reasonable cost.

No better or worse

The funny thing is a lot of people will buy a quality lock and use rubbish chains or other hardware that are easy to cut or break

I taught myself how to pick locks on "Master". They are easy. Hit down on it and it will open or cut it with bolt cutters. I sawzall them all the time. Most difficult lock i have encountered is a round lock with a round key.

NO, they do have some that have hardened shackles on them that are almost impossible for bold cutters or a saw to cut thru, but a sledgehammer does some major damage to them.
