is middle school band cool?

Yes, many Middle school bands participate in parades, concerts, and other types of performances. The cool part about it all is that you are always going on field-trips. Middle school band also prepares you for High school band. Again, in HS, band is awesome. Sometimes you'll get lucky and have a girl or boyfriend in the band or color-guard. This is cool because you get to spend extra time with them, not to mention going on trips. You will make lots of life long friends. It's a blast!!!

I absolutely loved band! It was a great way to make friends and as a major plus you develop a talent! Socially, it may not boost you too high on the social ladder but any friends you have won't ditch you if they really are your friends, plus you have any band members who can be your friends.
I really hope you enjoy band if you choose to take that path. Whether you go for marching or concert it's a load of fun.

I think so. Especially if you play the drums (drummers are hot- even out of school). I played the flute (no American Pie jokes, please) in middle and high school. Ten years later, my three best friends in band are still my closest friends- even though we live in different areas of the country. Also- you get to go on a lot of bus trips and maybe even travel across country (we went to Disney, Gatlinburg, and even Hawaii), which makes for relationship building of all kinds. (boyfriends and girlfriends as well as close friends)

I went through most of my school years in some music program. Of course you may get the typical "Jocks" to give you a hard time here and there. But in the long run, music is the medicene of the soul, and those that can poses the ability to read and speak it, are given a gift that will last a life time.

Band isn´t considered cool by anyone except the band people. But i knowa lot of band people and they are pretty cool. Plus, you make a lot of friends in band. So if your in band, its cool, but if your not, its not cool.

Band is a great learning experience...go for it, cool or not cool, you will learn something you can do forever...You cant go wrong.

Ummmmmm................No. Well I mean you may look cool in front of your friends and middle school girls but to older people you look like a wannabe no matter how good you are cause' of your age!
