Detective POCBR here.........pressing ctrl alt delete is a OS command and not a BIOS command. Maybe you are trying to reformat the hard drive computer and are not the Administrator........... Hmmm do I smell mischief in the air? Ask your administrator for help.

If it isBios. Pull the jumper on the motherboard. Power up. Answer setup questions. Power down and replace the jumper.
If you don't know what a jumper is on the motherboard get help from someone who has done it before.

If it's truly a BIOS password, there should be a jumper somewhere on your motherboard--locate it (should say "pwd" or "password" or something similar), remove the jumper and restart the computer. Removing the jumper clears the BIOS password.

If you are not comfortable with opening computer case,
or just want to try another method......
There are free utilities such as:

1. http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/CmosPwd
"CmosPwd decrypts password stored in cmos used to access BIOS SETUP"

2. http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Miscellaneous/KILLCMOS.shtml
"If you forgot your CMOS password, you don't have to worry anymore! As long as you are able to boot from the floppy KILLCMOS will remove the password."
