Start by making sure your bangs are separate from the rest of your long hair. (you can still achieve the look even if you don't have bangs, so don't stress). Back-comb a 3 inch by 3 inch section of dry hair on the crown of your head to form a pouf (to back-comb: insert a fine-tooth comb at the back of the section, two inches above your scalp, then gently comb downward four to six times to create the pouf). Brush a section of hair in front of the pouf back over it (to form a smooth dome), then mist with hairspray. Pull the hair up into a ponytail and voila. it's a really cute do too!

you take the bangs you want to leave out, seperate them with like a rubberband or something then pull the rest of your hair back into a pony tail but dont tie yet, use a comb to pull up the top to the way you want it and right before you tie it up with a rubberband make sure the back and bottom of your hair is pulled tight or else it will fall out..........i wish i was there to show you, cus i know how its not that easy to explain but i hope i did a good job so good luck!

looks to me like the crown of the hair has been backcombed before being put into a pony tail, leaving the straight fringe out?
