Unlawful means only that you are not abiding a law. Laws, however are man made, and therefore prone to imperfection. A cliche example: during slavery, the people helping the fugitive slaves (i.e., the underground railroad) were "unlawful". Of course that "good" and "bad" are not absolute values, but I believe most people would consider that the unlawful members of the underground railroad were doing a good thing.

There are many cases in the New Testament where Christ was doing things that were 'unlawful'. Healing on the sabbath day, for example. So, I'd say, taking his example that anytime where God's law superceded man's law would be good.

When the law dictates something like, "All Jews must go to concentration camps". A higher law has to be followed in such cases.

disabling a child predator ! or blinding them ! As a mother I have the right and the instinct to kill someone if they are hurting my child, putting him in danger,I think more and more, even though we want to be law-abiding citizens, parents will take the law into their own hands, and deal with child molesters themselves ! Child molesters look out ! we are a bunch of pissed parents, and I for one will make you cry for your mommy, if you mess with my child.
