Find someone who wears her makeup so that it looks nice yet natural and ask her to show you! My mom showed me so I was lucky. If you can't get advice from your mom then you should find a relative or friend and surely they will be glad to give you advice! Also, you can go get a free makeover at the mall at Clinique or other makeup counters. You don't have to buy anything (although it would be good to take $20 and get one item to be nice) and they can show you how to apply the makeup and you can get an idea as to what colors look good! Ask them to write down the colors in case you want to go back and buy those products (but you can probably find similar products cheaper elsewhere-don't let them know those are your intentions tho!)...also make sure your foundation and concealer are oil free if you have acne prone skin.

You need to start out small. Try a lip color or mascara first. Try different things at different times. When you start putting on makeup for the first time, people notice. Just go slow, and practice applying the makeup, so that you do not make yourself look like a clown.

A lot of teenage girls think they need tons of makeup. This is not true. You are young and naturally beautiful. Do not cover that up with a bunch of crap. Generally, makeup is for us old ladies.

mmm... no. I'm over 60 and I've never put on makeup. (Then again, I'm a guy.)

I've never had a long-term relationship with someone who wears makeup, and think women are far sexier without. The only reason for makeup is the pressure of Big Cosmetics, who make billions for doing squat. These products are as abysmal as vaginal deodorants - they get in the way of the wonderful and natural tastes, smells and looks of real woman. Perfumes, if possible, are even worse. Stay natural!

If you want to, or you feel like you need too, go through these steps:

1. To begin with, just use powder (as you start to use makeup more you can decide if you want to use a liquid foundation) Use compact powder - with a brush and lightly apply on face (not to much you dont want to look pasty)

2. Blush - Use a light color to begin - just dust along your cheek bones. Pucker your lips if it helps you see where to apply.

3. Mascara - Brown or Black mascara - usually does wonders! Just apply on open lashes in the upward direction!

Those are the basics - as you use makeup more you will develop your own tricks and preferences!

'Natural Beauty' is always the best but all females like to try on 'color'! Do what I did umpteen years ago...stand in front of the bathroom mirror with a friend and some make-up (ask your Mom to borrow some or to get you a few 'starters'. Or, if you have a part-time job or do babysitting, buy your own) and some facial cleanser and have fun trying everything on. Best thing is you'll both be laughing and having fun and learning as you go and it's safe, clean fun. You'll learn what looks best on YOU and can wash it all of and start anew as you like. :-)

Go to a department store and have the girls at the cosmetic counter give you a free makeover. They will show you how to apply makeup and what colors are best suited for you. Maybe clinique?

Hmm well id say natural beauty is the best....but if you do use make-up id say to just use a lil bit to enhance your looks...a good place to find out how to apply make-up aside from family or friends is at a place like sears, nordstrom, or somewhere where they sell make-up in quantity and have ppl there that apply it to u....my ex-girlfriend works and one and she gets younger girls asking her the same thing all the time.
