What should I say to his parents?

A man that is living in an adult care-home has commited suicide because he was denied his right to freedom.

It finally got to him when he decided that he wanted to be a biker, like the "Hell's angels" and other such groups.
He loves heavy metal music and is constantly told to turn it off after 9pm and to wear head-phones.

He wanted a "Harley Davison" and to be able to be in a mojor biker group.

He has been told that he cannot leave the biulding and he has to have his back-side wiped for him.
He is on medication
He also gets physically abused by the staff and they took the p*ss out of him wanting this.

He commited suicide, and was found dead this morning at 4:30am after escaping the biudling frozen to death.
He left a message saying why he decided to die and why he wanted to freeze to death.
It is currently -17*C here in Canada.

A panal of psychiatrists considered this to be an obsession and was planning to use drug therapy for it

WOW that's pretty rough. Your in a tough spot. You just need to know that he had a handicap that his parents were well aware of. I think they know as well as you that this dream could not happen here on earth. I think the Good Lord took him so he could achieve that dream. I can pretty much guarantee that he is riding the biggest baddest Harley Davidson on his way to sing at the biggest concert since Led Zeppelin rocked the stage, right now. Imagine the crew he rounded up for a band and the backup singers he's got. Keep in mind he is no longer suffering his mental illness. You were a good enough person to listen to his dreams and know what he wanted. Suicide hurts those left behind worse than the person that did it could realize at the time. Just let his parents know that You cared and that things are good for him right now. Good Luck! I'll be thinking about this one for a while.

This is the saddest thing I've read here yet. I'm feeling for you lots.

Like others said, the guy's happier now though.

Get up a bunch of guys and have a riding and rockin get together in his remembrance. He sounds like the type that would want that.

RED DO YOU HAVE PROOF OF THE CARE STAFF TREATING HIM LIKE THAT.I WORK IN A GROUP HOME OF MENTALLY CHALLENGED PEOPLE,AND ONE THING I DO KNOW IS THAT WE ARE TO ENCOURAGE THEM TO DO WHAT THEY WANT EVEN WHEN WE THINK IT IS NOT RIGHT,BUT THAT'S NOT OUR PLACE THEY ARE THERE OWN PERSON,WE JUST HAVE TO TRY OUR BEST TO KEEP THEM SAFE,BUT THEY HAVE FREE WILL,AND THEY HAVE A LEGAL RIGHT TO CHOOSE. LET ME KNOW. AND I AM SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS.
