Why is my mom so strict???

Question

We got into an agrugement today because i want to go to a waterpark with MY friends that i know are trustworthy. My mom said she doesnt trust them, she's so racist, unless my friends are Hawwiian, she wont let me go out with any of them because im hawwiian.

I know my friends and i know i can trust them because i've known them for so long. We're just going to a waterpark and it makes me mad, she never lets me go anywhere, im always stuck in the house doing nothing, im probably going to turn into a boring person like my parents.

How can i go out and experince life if shes always keeping me in the house? I never get socialzed with other kids. I blame her..she is wrong for this and she knows it. She cant always keep me in the house forever. They're my friends and im bout to blow out and cry because she never listens to my side of the story or lets me go out with my friends.

I know how to take care of myself and she doesnt even know my friends like that to judge them. I really want

to go too, its a new waterpark and i do not like this at all. She thinks she protecting me but how can she when she never lets me go out and expeirnce life for myself?

How can she expect me to have fun once in awhile? She never lets me have fun, it is always with old people and i hate it. I have the right to stand up for this because shes being a ***** and a racist person.

I mean, everyone goes out expect for me. I cant even go outside, im like a stupid prisoner inside her stupid house. I wanna get out now and go to the stupid waterpark. OMG, im so lame, im starting to cry.

But she acts like she doesnt listen to me everyday. She ingores me, she tells me to shut up and go away and not to talk to her anymore. How is that right?

She doesnt give me a chance?

She's so strict because she loves you. Plain and simple. I know that it is hard for you to see it that way now because you want so badly to go to the waterpark and be young. Your mom loves you very much. Please understand that... Love her back.....

Why don't you let your mom get to know your friends? Today's world is dangerous and your mom is doing the best she can to protect you. Instead of complaining and throwing a tantrum, why don't you try speaking to your mom like an adult and having a rational discussion. If you start acting like a grown up, maybe your mom will start treating you like one. While I appreciate your frustration, your rant here makes you sound like you're five. That's likely why your mom treats you that way.

she's just trying to protect you yea it's wrong that u can't ever get out of the house but she thinks she right and there's nothing u can do about it until you move out or maybe if u let her get to know your friends she might start to trust u with them I don't know get them to come over your house instead of going out

A safe subject with parents who are hesitant to let you socialize is to ask if you can have a friend over to study. If you do it often enough (and, BTW, really study), they will get to know your friends enough to let you see them outside your house.

im sure she just really wants to protect you maybe u could just try sitting her down & saying that u would really likem to go & say i could take a cell phone just in case hope this helps how old r u anyway?

You don't mention your age, and we only have your side of the story to go by, not your mom's. So to answer your question about why is your mom so strict, I'd have to say because she loves you.
