Every chance I get but only in funny circumstances. I would never reveal harmful information from a person's present or past situation.
As an example, I work with this guy and he is soooo stuck on himself. One night he was out for a walk and was waiting to cross the street at a crosswalk. A vehicle (being driven by another co-worker but he didn't know that) didn't stop for him so he gave the driver the finger as she passed him. She told a bunch of us the story the next morning and everyone had a laugh. But then I remembered this co-worker drives the identical car as our boss so I told the schmuck that he had fingered the boss the night before. He bought it hook, line and sinker, after all how would I know about it if someone hadn't mentioned it? So the idiot runs out, buys a huge bouquet of flowers, a stuffed bear and a lovely box of chocolates with which he hopes to make ammends. While he is doing this I tell the boss what is going on so she's in the loop now. He arrives back at the office with his peace offering, enters the bosses office, closes the door and offers his humblest apologies. The boss can't take it anymore, burst out laughing and tells him he is the victim of a practical joke. The whole office knew what was going on by this time and everyone had a great laugh at the guy for being such as obvious suck up.
To this day he hasn't forgiven me and hasn't spoken a word to me. Additional bonus I never expected.

Not on purpose. It will only lead to them wanting revenge. There is no reason to humiliate, you can make a point without forcing someone into a corner.

I would never do something to someone that I would not like have done to me.
It does not matter if they humiliated me or not.
Their immaturatity or practical joke need not be repeated to make me feel better.
I would shake it off and keep my stride.
Old but true 2 wrongs do not make a right.

Its natural, When we are in depression, we want to take our fustration out, so we take out on our family people, friends or wife/husband. We humiliate someone because we are unhappy from inside.

Not intentionally. Humiliating another person is unnecessary and cruel. It reflects badly on the person who inflicts the harm.
