make it easy on yourself! organize. say in a week you have to read 300 pages. do 42 pages a day. while reading. take notes. make index cards of bit info/key words. set a schudule and stick to it. set aside 2/3 hours to do homework a day once you start studying everyday(weekend too!) you'll be in the habit and it won't feel so much of a burden. plus, since you're doing it you won't be rushed and freaking out come test time, you just have to review your notes!
and if you need help join a study group or go to your prof and ask for help.

Set aside the same time after school or dinner whichever suits you best when you'll be undisturbed , close the door to your room and if necessary hang a Do Not Disturb sign outside on the door-can make yourself. Set up Book(s) Paper and pencil-pen and a pitcher of water with glass can have some cut lemon slices in it. Make sure chair is comfortable or wherever you sit but chair at desk if you have is best and if it helps put on music but sound low-if it distracts you then turn off.No TV or other stuff. Then study. If you hve a problem what to study then Outline first for as you're doing you are studying and imprinting more for actually writing important info and may be better retained. To Outline first get the Main Heading and write it down in Capital letters. then beneath pick out the important facts that relate to the heading, the topic. Do that with Each Page . Can have a separate Notebook for each one of your classes that you Label "TheWhatever the classs is- Study Notebook-this will also help greatly when it comes to homework and studying for tests for you'll have your important facts outlined and those are what you study to remember. This also helps you as you read to key in on the important facts that quickly identify what you read. Having the same time and the same place(Your Study Place) scheduled as Your Study Time also helps you in getting organized and imprints ,begins the habit of setting always special time for important things, tasks.

Study in short periods thoughout the day, so that you are most productive/you'll be paying attention. If you have 10-15 minutes, you can learn *something.* Or maybe you're a roll, and can keep going for 1+ hours. If you're tired, your brain is not going to be primed for learning at your best.
Also, figure out how you learn. I need interaction/activity and variety. This means attending classes, writing out my thoughts/notes, etc. I can't just sit and stare at the book.

Everybody has a different study style. Most people study best in solitude with a little classical music going on in the background. Those with ADD tend to do better if the television and radio are on....it helps them concentrate by drowning other things out. You have to find your own style.

Pick a quiet spot and use a lot
of self discipline.
Start small. Get something accomplished
and build from there.
You can do it.
(and don't be listening to Snoop Dawg)
