Ok, so I was 12 monsters into the hunt club sidequest and found that I had only given away 11 trophies....odd...luckily I keep backup files, so I went to just before I started the quest, and I have found that my Shelled Trophy given for defeating the required monster (thalasomething) is taken away when I talk to the hunt club owner, and I don't get the chance to give it to one of the Shady Bangaas. I would like to know what the deal is before killing all 30 monsters, because I will obviously only get 29 trophies at this rate.
If anyone knows how to solve this or if it ends up counting in the end, please let me know. Also, only real answers please. I didn't kill off a monster by mistake (which isn't even possible) thus accounting for the missing trophy. It is definitely the shelled trophy, and I definitely can't give it away to anyone but the hunt club owner guy. Thanks for any help.

yeah, the shelled trophy is your enrollment fee, so-to-speak. that trophy just allows you join the club.
