I am only aware of seven having dropped her column. This leaves her with about 90 print outlets.
Generally, Ann Coulter is careful enough to pitch her sensationalist garbage without arousing the ire of specific special interest groups. She first miscalculated with her comments on the 9/11 widows.
Her supporters are of the variety that know little of substance when it comes to politics or current affairs. The sort that simply want to be pandered to - and her remaining clients will likely continue to publish her column, not because it is good, but because it sells copies.
This editor phrased it best:
"I think her popularity will continue to wane. I believe ideas rise and fall on their merits, and I haven't seen much depth in hers."

If Ms. Coulter had said something about Tom Foley, who she violated voting laws to vote for, I might be in support of her free speech. She obviously doesn't have a problem with gay pedophiles as long as they are Republicans. So I hope they all drop her.
And I really don't understand why people can't recognize that newspaper editors are only exercising their free speech when they do drop her. The antiCatholic bloggers on Edward's campaign staff were fired, weren't they?

I don't know -- my newspaper doesn't carry her column and if it did I wouldn't read her column.
There are many good conservative columnists like George Will and Cal Thomas, who I will read even if I disagree with them, but Ann Coulter is a good for nothing polemicist.

It's at least 10. But I hear there's a deal where her statements will soon grace every roll of Charmin toilet tissue, which makes perfect sense when you think about what she actually says.....
And yes, she does have a right to Free Speech. But the flip side of the coin is that we also have the right NOT to listen to it or publish it. Her vehement remarks and unbridled hatred rank her up there with the Reverend Fred Phelps and gang (the "God hates F.a.g.s" group).

I do think that's great. Of course, she's long been on my list of people who are just too ridiculous to take seriously.
And, for those whining about free speech, give me a freaking break. The fact that papers are dropping her column in no way stops her from enjoying her constitutional right to freedom of speech. The constitution assures us of the right to free speech, it does not, however, guarantee us mass press coverage of every moronic thought that crosses our lips. She can continue to spout her increasingly ignorant agenda, no one is stopping her.

I think the more she keeps talking the more she illuminates the Republican party!
To be honest I didn't even know who she was really until this all happened.
I think I remember seeing her on Bill Maher's show once in awhile but she didn't leave that much of an impression on me!

Hey now Ann Coulter has the right to say whatever ridiculous nonsense she wants. I think it is great that newspapers are exercising their right not to publish her crap.
