Mmm it isint really a monumental occasion like graduation, so only spend a good 100 200 dollars on party favors.

It all depends on how big of a party that you want to have. Turning 9 isn't really a big milestone, so I am not sure if a big party is warranted. However if you want to have a big party, then figure about $80 to $100 for a large sheet cake, or a specialty design cake. Go to the local dollar store to buy the party decorations; and for party favors, go to Oriental Trading and get the party favors and other items. Low cost, and some fun stuff there. Other than that, I am not sure how much it would cost in your area for any thing extravagent, like renting a moon walk, or something else.

Good Luck, but I would go simple. Close family and maybe a few friends.

Everyone in my area for any age has only their best friends come say 3or 4 friends and have hot dogs and take them to a movie buy them pop corn and your party is simple and cost less than 50.00 dollars.and what kid don't like going to a movie. or just stay at home with the hot dogs or pizza rent them a couple good movies .play a few games and send them out doors to play .they love it.it's nice to have b-day parties but if you invite many friends it's just too crazy. That's what we do sense my grandson was 9. have fun.

it all depends on how many people your son want to have and where you go--i would suggest going to adventureland and talking 3-5 of his friends--if might cost a couple hundred dollars but no more than 250-i think
