There are only 20 amino acids and all are necessary to make the many proteins that the body needs.

There are actually only 9 essential amino acids. They are, Phenylalanine
Leucine
Methionine
Lysine
Isoleucine
Valine
Threonine
Tryptophan


*Histidine is only for infants. Arginine is also for infants, uncertain if required for seniors.
