does anyone understand why i don`t let women i date meet my kids?!?

Yes I understand and I think you are very smart to do that until you find someone special that you feel you have a future with. My Brother in law raised two boys alone and he would only date on the weekends that the boys were with their Mom. He didn't want them to meet someone and then if things didn't work out, wonder where she went. He dated his now wife for a year before he finally introduced her to his children. First of all why dont you want the women you date to meet your kids? They are a part of you and of your life.... If the woman is the right one for you this will not scare her off at all and the kids will learn to like her as well.... You really need to not live in fear and start letting them meet your kids here and there or you will never find a woman that will be right for you.... You also need to be honest with any woman you meet that you are a dad and that you have kids and you also need to tell the kids about some dates as well.... This is important.

Sure we understand but the question is do the women you date understand why? I think you just need to lay it out flat at the beginning at the first mention that you have kids that it just doesn't happen. A lot of women try to use that as a gage as to how well the relationship is going and by being up front, I think you'll avoid a lot of wondering and pestering about it later. But that's just my opinion.

I'm in the same boat. Single, a little older and I have kids. I agree with you. I understand completely. It's simple. You don't want your kids to develop relationships or emotional ties with a woman unless it's serious. If you introduce your kids to new women all the time (every new date) it sends them a confusing message.

I understand that completely. But there has to be like, a time limit. Maybe like 60 days or something. To be too strict with the women would be disparaging to them.

The main reason this should be the case is that if you are not seriously into a relationship, it would be damaging to your kids mentally to met females over & over who wouldn't be in your life. This is a good choice on your part.
