Well you should get it checked out. It is mabe Tendonitis. This souds worse then it is. It just means your Knee cap is not where it needs to be because your quadsricep muscles are too tight. To stretch it you pull your foot up to your butt while you are standing. Do your knees hurt at all? I wouldn't worry too much but I would check with a octor to have a look at it.

Is there pain or swelling associated with it? You should probably get it checked out. From time to time, it's normal for your body to make noises. I know sometimes when I do deep knee bends, my knees make popping sounds. The sound produced when you do deep-knee bends, is a snapping sound, produced when our tendons, which are merely the fibers that connect muscles and bones, elastically snap into new positions as our joints move under stress. Because the tendons shift back and forth with the movement of the joint, there is no waiting time before this snapping sound can be reproduced. So, sometimes normal, sometimes not... All I can say is that if it worries you, get it checked. If there is no pain or swelling then you may be fine. But better to be safe then sorry. As we age, our bodies make all types of noises. lol

'My husband who was making a living by hanging sheet rock all his life started with the popping noise and after a while his knee joint would pop out and back in. He had an x-ray and his doc said it was rheumatoid arthritis and not bone on bone yet which requires knee replacement surgery. he gave him a shot of cortisone which helped about 6 wks. Have it checked out because with ur job it might get worse. Start wrapping it on the job for now and hopefully it won't get as bad as my husband's.

You should get that checked out. One of my track and field buddies has popping knees and clicking ankles. Annoying when she runs, but she did get it checked out and she got the okay. It could be nothing, but then again, it could be something serious like torn ligaments or excessive stress...

an amateur diagnosis with a few words isn't going to help, but seeing a doctor, an expert will.
