You need to get your terminology right first before you do anything. A transvestite is someone who dresses in the clothing of the opposite sex. A transsexual if someone who wishes to become the opposite sex.

First of all, a transvestite is not a person who wants to actually change their sex. A transvestite is just a person who likes to dress in drag from time to time.
It sounds like you are transgendered. You can start taking estrogen pills, and you can also think about having an actual sex-change operation if you feel strongly about it.

You can do a lot w/o taking anything - the right types of clothing and make-up do wonders. If you want to take estrogen, for example, you need to have gone thru some serious counseling (and soul searching) - this is not a step to take lightly. Start a little slower w/cross-dressing, get a good counselor, and put off hormones until you are sure you know that its what you need.

You might want to see a doctor that specializes in this sort of thing. You want your femininity to be a success and in taking something like female hormones or anything like that you might get "stuck" in a body that you would not want to have. female hormones if the wrong kind could do damage to you system such as high blood pressure and heart disease. This is a very important issue for you and you deserve the best in finding the answers.
Good Luck to you

Well, if you want to be a woman then you are transgendered/transexual. You are a transvestite (pc term: crossdresser) if you don't want to change your sex/gender, but derive sexual pleasure from dressing in ways not usually considered applicable to your gender.
If you are TS, you can see a gender counselor and then an endocrinologist may prescribe estrogen to you. If you are CD, they will not give you any medication, but you can still "tuck" if you're so inclined, and get prosthetic breast forms.
Good luck.

Your skeletal structure is unchangable, however estrogen could redistribute fat in your body and promote breast growth. If you want to become a woman talk to a gender therapist to make sure that this will make you happy and so that when problems arrive you will have someone to confide and seek advice from. If you would like more advice, someone to talk to, or help finding resources feel free to e-mail me.

You Can't become a woman, you can however be surgically mutilated and mutated with hormones so that you look ( kind of) like a woman, but you will never really be a woman, just an emasculated man on hormones.

You actually are thinking of the word transsexual, not transvestite.
