sure, if you haven't connected the printer before, then plug in the cable, works best if it has USB connection, the moment it's plugging, your computer will sense it and install the proper driver, if it can't find it, go to IBM.com or (lexmark.com) and find the driver and download and install it.

On the Lexmark website there is a section that has all the drivers listed for download.
Just find the one for your printer and download it.

Windows XP should have the drivers to run the lexmark printer.

Not sure what the photo explosion program is. If it's bundled with the driver it might be located at any of the sites here: http://www.google.com/search?q=lexmark+1200+drivers&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

Or go to Lexmark's web pages here for the driver: http://www.lexmark.com/lexmark/sequentialem/home/0,6959,204816596_652569478_0_en,00.html

If it's an image manipulation program, then you may be better off using the gimp at http://www.gimp.org/

Or one of my favorites is xnview at http://www.xnview.com/

you can download the software off the internet. Google your printer, or go to Lexmark.com.

You need to unistall the device prior to running the software.
If you don't it won't work
