What are you guys, retarded..it's an AROD question, not a yankee question.....i know you hate the Yankees, but every mention of them isnt ABOUT them.. So, in all sincerity, go suck on a salami.

He'd be a fool NOT too.
Plus I am sure The Rangers wouldn't mind either (I understand they will pay less if he does?).

Not bad mouthing A-Rod here, but for some reason he just doesn't seem to do well in October.

And then, who will pick him up?
Boston? The Mets? Maybe even The Cubs?
Or a california team?

Personally I think they are too many variables here to know with any certainty, but none the less will be an interesting situation to keep an eye on.

The Yankees will not win a WS this year or until Joe Torre leaves the team. Arod should play well but if not it proves that high pay checks don't mean a great player or a great teams. He played better when the spotlight was not on him. The fun of the game has been taken away from him by playing in NY. He wouldnt last in Boston either. AROD would be better of playing for a phillies or angels franchise. Not to mention the RED SOX are going to win it this year!

If the Yankees win this year and A-Rod does well in the post-season, he'll stay. I'm a Yankee fan and I've always supported A-Rod but I know that even the uninformed Yankee fans (those who boo him for grounding out in the 2nd inning because he doesn't hit a home run EVERY TIME UP, among other things) will embrace him if his big October and November lead the Yankees to a title. I think he'd stay then.

Well he's not going to opt out of his contract if the yankees win and they will WIN. He will take his option on 2008 and if the fans like him again then yankees are gonna give him a better contract. I know that arod is gonna stay because he took out his emotions. He said that he and jeter dont have a good friendship anymore. So this lead to him going to start saying more facts. Then MORE stress will come out and he doesnt have to be perfect anymore. GO YANKEES . and that guy below me is a retard

A-Fraud has three major problems, as I see it.

1. He can't hit in clutch situations. He only seems to "go deep" when the Yanks are already winning 8-1.

2. His defense took a sabbitical last year. After a solid opening year at 3rd, he fell apart last year. Must stink knowing you're the best defensive shortstop in the game today, and you're forced out of your position because the current SS isn't a team player and won't move for the benefit of the team.

3. He has 5 hits in his last 50 playoff at bats.

I mean, realistically, if someone sent you this resume, would you trade for this guy?

I don't think any other owner of a baseball team will put up the money George Steinbrenner did to get A-Rod. So, if A-Rod opts out of his contract willingly, there better be someone willing to pay and perhaps jeopardize the entire payroll of the team.

However, George Steinbrenner may decide to get rid of Rodriguez and throw in a few other ball players to sweeten the deal. If Rodriguez goes, he would not be going alone.

It's a great question and I'd like hear your thoughts if and when A-Rod gets traded. Please join...FansOfBaseball and SOUND OFF.

He does not want to leave New York. See him signing a new contract towards the end of the season. He won the 2004 MVP award with New York, had an off year (.290/36/121) last year and is still in the top five in fantasy rosters.
Expect a come back.

Hey Fenway, Jeter has 4 WS rings, why should he have to move out of position because the Yankees traded for A-Rod?

Moron.

There is no question AROD will be traded out, not opt out. There are plenty a teams who want to shore up their lineup with a guy like AROD playing short stop not third base. It is pretty funny to see the best short stop on the team play 3B.

as a life long yankee fan I must say that the New York Media can be a little over the top. I think A-rod is gone no matter what happens
