this guy who worls at the gym is rude. he once made a comment how i work out too much at the gym. he has laughed at my weights. i dont see him working out ever. in fact, he is a skinny bean pole. i am not really a feminist, but this is pissing me off. he has not said anything obvious ever since mentioning he thinks i work out too much, but when i come it i have seen him rolling his eyes. he is giving me the evil eyeball. i avoid going in now. because i also have a sense he watches me on the tv screen, since he made comments about my workouts and the only way hed know is if he was watching me. what would you do? would you ignore it? i think hes a sexist pig who thinks hes so clever by doing things i cant even report. if i said anything, hed probably say he cares and deny he rolls his eyes. i think hes a jerk.

Sweetie, you state that you are not a "Feminist" as if a Feminist's a bad thing, but you want us to tell you how to stand up for yourself?
Being a feminist is being a strong woman who can clearly take care of herself, and you can. He's counting on your doing nothing & that's why he continues to behave that way.
Talk to the management of the gym and tell them this guy is STALKING you. That's what it is if he is watching you on closed circuit TV. His comments and staring can also be described as Stalking and Sexual Harrassment.
Mention, too that you are thinking of bringing the police into this situation because you are afraid of this weirdo. As an employee of the gym, he has access to your home address, phone numbers, etc. Tell the Mgmt. that you want a refund of your dues if they cannot end the situation.
Get somebody to go with you when you speak to the management, in case you forget to mention any details, so they can speak on your behalf, too.
Sorry this is happening.
Good luck.

I would be as civilized as possible and approach him and ask if "there's a problem" especially if I heard him make any comment. Approaching him like that will 1st let him know that you are aware of what's going on or that there is something going on and second show him that you are willing to speak up for yourself. You will be surprised at how quickly people like that clam up after a civilized confrontation like that if you approach him all worked up that may not work out the way you would like it too. After this any subsequent issues should probably be brought up with his mngmnt the odds are that either he has done it to others or at least you will be the first to speak up then if anyone else complains to his mgmnt then they will be aware (hopefully) that there is indeed a problem.

Tell him you dont pay membership fees to hear his lips flap, and that if he knew anything about working out, he would not be looking like an emaciated circus side show. If that doesnt shut him up, buy a whistle and blow on it any time his lips begin to flap. Guys like this are easy to insult so it should not be too difficult to find the right insult for every situation.

He works there right ? Usually it is the job of a trainer to tell people at the gym how they should work out and when it is too much. If you dont want that tell him. If he keeps it up complain with his boss.

if you are the paying customer and he works there, talk to the manager. Make a big deal out of how uncomfortable it is to be in the same room as the jerk, start to leave, but first stop and ask about the membership dues refund policy.
that will get their attention

I'd make a complaint with the owners/staff at the gym. You have a right to work out without being bothered by this geek.

Wow the nerve this untoned non-exercising guy to actually laugh at someone on the way she does her exercise?
You can write in to complain or confront him, ask him what's his problem why is he doing whatever he does. Perhaps if you confront him he will be scared, most people are just bark no bite anyway. Talk to him, make him talk. Or bring a friend with you to workout, make friends there and ask them if they see what you see, then talk to him together.

How old is this guy? I can only imagine him being very young or very immature. Or both.
Complain to management and tell them everything you just said. Perhaps write them a letter.

i am a guy but this guy is not "mildly" harrassing you. he is being a total d!ck. its more than just mild. i can see why your mad if he is making fun of you for the weights. but if he's gonna keep bothering you then you should probably try to make fun of him. like if he ever wears shorts say something about how he has a tiny bulge. or make fun of him for being scrawny.
