I hate American Idol unlike the rest of America, why?

As to why YOU don't like it, I can not help you. However, allow me to explain why I don't like it.

There are musicians out there everyday, some with degrees from universities, some without, who have been trying to make it for years. American Idol allows those that participate in their show to "make it" in about three months. Even if you don't win the "competition" (who knows if the thing isn't rigged from the begining by the producers?), you still get some sort of music contract. Look at Gay Aiken, I mean, Clay Gayken, whoever! Who is more popular: Clay (the AI loser) or Rubin (the AI winner)?

Most of these singers don't even make it. They are "made." Observe at how some the the contestants dress and act at the beggining of the show versus how they look and act at the end. They have plenty of help.

Minor annoyances include, but are not limited to: 1. Randy's responses "Yo, dog. Like, man. Yo, like, man dog." Yo, dog. Like learn some new words, man. 2. Paula's responses. She babbles incoherantly ALL the time. And no, I'm NOT implying that she is drunk or on drugs while on the show. She just babbles. 3. Ryan's timing with announcements. 4. Ryan's script. Who writes this stuff?

Look, I'm sure the show makes money. Otherwise, it wouldn't be on the air for as long as it has. The soccer moms of America are doing their part to keep AI on the air.

Annoying is annoying. And this show is annoying.

I don't know why you hate American Idol, but I don't watch it because I can't stand Simon Cowell. He's just so mean to people. Besides, I don't really care for the crap that show does, showing all the loosers and making fun of them, and all that. Granted a few good singers have come out of the show, but I will buy their CDs because their music is good, and not because they made their fame on American Idol.

I'm with you brother. People love it because the demographic never changes. it's fitted to young people with disposible income and nothing to do but watch propagandized television. The fact that it's called Idol, but there is a new one every yeat should be a hint. But after the first one, you never heard of them again. I say they rename it "15 minutes of fame in America. Then off to softcore porn and therpy." Kinda long but i think it gets the point out. They should also replace the host with Gary Colemen, so the contestants have something to aspire to.

The truth is out there. You are not the only one in America that hates American Idol. I especially dislike Simon Cowell because he's cruel, mean-spirited and far too self-righteous.

And more importantly, I hate network TV because there's too many commercials and too much censorship. Its all an insult to our intellgence and plays to the lowest common denominator.

I hate it tremdously! I hate the fact that these people has the balls to get up and show what they may or may not have and they are still jacked for it!! I can not stand that Simon - talk about a JERK! I really would like to see him try to sing, dance or something so he can be cut down to the quick!

if it wasn't for American Idol, we would have never known about wonderful people like Antonella and Sanjaya. Think about it.

Everyone hasa opinions and should stick to them as long as they believe in them...I like American Idol and enjoy watching it and I will stay like that until I hate American Idol like you...Hope I helped...
