I am only a kid, but when i grow up i want to be an animal rights activist beacuse i love animals and i hate to see them being abused. What i am asking is How can i become one?

start your own group. post signs, start events, fundraisers.. soon people will start to see what you are doing and join in. it might take a while but if you stick with it then you will totally be unstoppable! and i hope you keep that goal of yours! its nice to finally see someone wanting to do something to help animlas!! all the power to you my friend!!!

Don't become a fanatic, and please research both sides of everything. I have worked in farms, in research labs, volunteered at a zoo and rescue org for large cats, and now I'm a vet.... I have experienced a lot of these first hand.... and I have seen a lot of damage done by extremist animal rights activists and many animals unnecesarily killed.
From small farmers that took good care of their animals pushed to bankruptcy and their animals sold to slaughter or factory farming where their lives weren't as good and becoming another number and baby making machines, to animals in research labs under controled circumstances and with as little pain as possible released and starving to death and wild animals eating them and getting sick, cats that have been sent to shelters and euthanized because a good hearted person believed all the propaganda against declawing and she developed an immune disorder that a cat scratch would kill her, a cougar that spent 2 years in deplorable conditions until she died of a massive untreated infection because the local rescue couldnt take her because animal rights activists destroyed her enclosures and they spent all their money in a really expensive fence and security access to protect the cats they already had................
In other words, please research and don't become a blind extremist follower. Volunteer at a shelter, be a foster parent, or learn animal law or become an officer for the SPCA, not many officers spend their time with animal cruelty cases, volunteer at an animal hospital... but don't become an extremist! violence will take you nowhere

Start out by volunteering at your local shelter. You can start learning how to care for animals. That will get you started at a young age, that way when you are old enough to decide what direction to go you already have a good idea of how to care for animals. This will also allow you to see how people treat animals (brace yourself, it isn't going to be good!).
Another way to help animals is learning to train. By learning how to train animals, you could volunteer your services to help people become better pet owners! Most people mistreat their animals because they don't know how to train them properly!!! There are plenty of ways you can do your part to help out, you just need to volunteer at some shelters to find your niche!

Just keep loving the animals and hating the fact that sometimes they are abused. As you grow older, you'll find ways to be able to help them.

PLEASE DONT GO OVER BOARDWITH THEANIMAL ACTIVIST THING!!! its okay to love animals but dont get your priorites mixed up animals are great everyone loves them but dont try to humanize animals like the fanatics do, there are a lot more important things going on in our world that need attention than just the animals.

Animal rights, you ever think about childrens rights? They have souls,animals don't!!!God will look favorably on you to watch out for little kids! JESUS said "Suffer not the little children but let them come to me for if anyone should harm them they shall be cast into the sea with a millstone(weighs about 200+ lbs) cast around they're neck

I agree with you, but don't become a fanatic. Don't forget that human infants are being killed for convenience, because selfish people don't know how to behave and they live a dysfunctional lifestyle.
Stand for this cause, as well...in fact, do so first.
