As with any business, a supplier is probably not going to want to sell you the sandals at a price that would allow you to make money, unless you could make a substantial purchase from them. My guess is that products such as these are made in sweatshops, in third world countries.

One route you could try would be to contact some of the vendors online, and offer to buy a large amount from them, to see if they will give you a discount. Or, you could tell them you want to buy a large quantity, and ask of their supplier. Some business actually don’t mind helping other start-ups, as long as they don’t feel threatened that you may be a direct competitor. To purchase from a supplier, you may have to buy the sandals by the thousands, which might require an initial investment of 5-10 thousand dollars.
