To exit gracefully is better than being shown the door. Real Madrid's management team have not shown that they are sentimental regarding players not performing to their expectation. Roberto Carlos has past his prime, and Real will not keep him after the embarrassing display of mental lapses against Bayern Munich. Real already went against Beckam, Cassano, Ronaldo, and Robinho, Roberto Carlos won't be any different.
