I would say wonder woman because superman is mortal. Wasn't wonder woman made by the Gods out of soil, to protect the Amazons. So if she has the Gods backing her up and Supermans power was not mystical in nature then wouldn't she win?

They both are just about equal...with the edge going to Superman for stamina. I think he can take more punishment then Wonder Woman could giving him an advantage.
Superman would win the fight in the end cause he can take more punishment...he killed Doomsday and Doomdays kicked the hell outta every other hero including Woman Wonder.

Don't underestimate Wonder Woman coz she's a woman. She's way stronger than Superman and she'd win

superman would win this one for one simple reason,despite wonder woman's remarkable strenght and powers she lacks invulnerability which would be vital in a fight like this,she relies heavily on her gauntlets to block projectile attacks and major hits but her body is not invulnerable to harm and i strongly doubt that a vulnerable body would withstand a hit from superman,moreover even though she is an experienced fighter superman is no stranger to huge fights himself, and on more than one occasion he has shown that most of the time he does not use all of his strenght,he has gone against entire armies and godlike beings,he is invulnerable to pretty much anything but kryptonite (which a noble warrior like wonder woman would probably not use anyways) and he's got at least three different kinds of vision as well as super breath,i don't mean to belittle wonder woman,but having strenght and speed and some magic items may not be enough to face the man of steel.

They did fight once. It was in one of those giant books that was sold in the 70's. It took place during World War II, and the arguement was over the use of the Atomic Bomb.
They fought to a standstill on Earth, and then decided to take the fight to the moon so that they wouldn't destroy everything on Earth.
Even that was a standstill, but only because a message was sent from Earth for their help. (The message was sent by flashing all the lights on the East Coast in Morse Code.)
It was never resolved.
Personally, I think Wonder Woman would win. She has over 3000 years of experince as a warrior (her teachers were that old if you're talking about the "Modern" version. Wonder Woman herself is around that old --or only about 2000 years-- if you're talking about the "Golden" and "Silver" Age versions.) That, and plus she can not only make him tell the truth with her lasso, she can make him OBEY her. All she would have to do is tell him to stop fighting, and he would.
