Tell them you feel you've learned everything you can at the other job and want to grow and develop your abilities even further. I don't see anything wrong with saying you wish to increase your earning potential along with acquiring new knowledge and responsibly, either.

like everything else work related, if you don't know them, act political. They'll do that with you anyway...

You dont want to mention pay, family or other stuff because they'll think oh, well this person only wants that and it has nothing to do with us at all. They cannot be depended upon to stay. As soon as another better thing shows up, s/he'll leave. Guess what, your stuff is in the round file.

Better to say something along the lines of, I'm looking to learn something new and I thrive on challenges. Make it prettier, I'm just thinking out loud here... Point is, you don't want them to think the only reason you're there is because they can offer you more.

You could be honest, like the other person said and something about not wanting two jobs...or the one about no room for growth.

Just be careful.

NOW, once they offer you a position you can discuss benefits and pay and whatever else... But not during the interview.

I don't know if this is a good answer or not, but this is what comes to mind. Anyway, honesty is the best policy when it comes to employment. By the way, be careful when you apply for other jobs, so your current employers don't let you go because of it. Back to your question. Say you really enjoyed and grew a lot in your former positions, but you desired a job with better pay and benefits. Don't go into your personal business or personal needs, not that they are not real.

There is no room for growth in my current position. I would like to work for a company that encourages personal and professional growth. I am being careful in my job search because I want to be with a company long-term. I am currently working two jobs to support our family. Family is very important to me and I would like to have a job that allows me to only work one job and be home with my family. I would like to work for a company that provides good benefits so I we can be confident if any healthcare issues come up we will be able to afford excellent care.

I am sure you can make this sound much better than what I have outlined here. Just some thoughts. Good luck in your job search. I hope you are able to stop working two jobs.

purely say that the different company has extra to grant and that ur waiting to apply ur skills extra. or purely be undemanding and say that they are prepared to grant extra and by way of this financial device that each penny counts
