Every time I get frustrated or very angry I burst out in tears. I try very hard to hold them back, but that only worsens the problem, because then I cry more. It is embarrassing because people assume that I am sad and weak, rather when I am about to scream and feel like punching a wall in (or in extreme cases someone's face). It is annoying and counter-productive and brings way much attention than I want. Is there a way to stop it? Are there any techniques that I can use to help lessen the tears?

My defination of frustration is actually deep hurt. Therefore, the hurt makes you burst into tears. Its not a sign of weakness. I dont see a difference between guys & girls. After all we're only human, we have emotions.

Its alright to break down at times. Crying helps in a way right? By letting your emotions out, you tend to feel alot better. Imagine if you had bottled it up & put on a strong front. You'd be sure to erruput one day!

If you're crying alot, do see someone who you can talk to. If you dont feel comfortable talking to a total stranger, you can always approach one of your parents, teachers or even friends. People who love you, would never judge you.

Take care, stay strong! :)

Your fustration is the result of allowing others to run rough-shod over you. You must get clear with your boundaries...it's essential for your well-being.

Crying a lot is the result of repressed anger. You may be afraid of 'appearing' destructive so instead resort to the more socially 'acceptable' thing - crying.

There's nothing wrong with feeling angry, however, in order to level off those feelings you have to get clear with yourself and others. Try practicing some assertive skills in your daily interactions instead of allowing things to build up. This might upset a few apple carts - but they'll get over it...and you'll feel much better all around.

Stop being afraid of what others think. It's all good.

No not really. You need to get those emotions out. It will cause more problems in the long run if you hold them in. Just be you're self and life will be much better that way. Emotions are who we are. You'd be lying to your self and every body around you. Don't feel bad about that. I too am very emotional and I don't care what other people think. I have to be me. And you could do no better.

You are doing quite well. When everyone around you becomes violent you display the correct emotion. When someone hurts you or embarrasses you it does hurt. And to give way to tears is the perfect response because your fairness was crushed.
Let the rest lose it..but you should just turn away and remove yourself from the situation and compose yourself.
