No changes. I already live as though today could be my last.

I just turned 70, and hopefully, I have ten more years to live, but not much more, I guess. Perhaps not even ten years. I lost my wife after 47 years of marriage in 2004. I remarried in 2006 to a lady who had lost her husband of 42 years also in 2006. What would I do if I knew I had only ten more years? Well, just what I am doing now. We try to enjoy life and help our children and grandchildren. We don't worry much about money, knowing that money is just an allusion. We are very happy that we found each other, and we just plan to keep on loving each other in the time we have left. Young people ---- take note. Nothing exists in this old world except love.

When one of my teachers asked me this question a while ago, it seemed so simple but in fact it is deeper than it appears. So if a person was to die in ten years, they would probably say they would have a ball, spend all there money, or have as much fun as possible. In reality, who is to say that you will not die tomorrow, or the next day, or even in a year? This says a lot about the different stages of people now. They are not living life like its “golden” or not even living life for a little fun. The real question is why are you not having a ball now? If I knew I would die in ten years, I would live life like I am living it now.

That depends on your outlook, If i was Guaranteed that I was not going to dye until ten years from now, despite my actions I would have a ball. If on the other hand you mean that I my heal;th was going to degrade to the pint of my demise in ten years, I'd probably still have a ball...heck, Life is not a guarantee and way too short to worry about when it will end, live every day like it's you last.

The original question is somewhat different than the next question.
If I had ten years to live, not much would change other than everything would be compressed.
It I had but ten MORE years to live, given my advanced age, I would be content that why I was here has been accomplished.

That would radically change my perspective on the world. My pessimistic side tells me to shun those around me and search for my own gain; my optimistic side tells me to contribute as much as (happiness, fortune, etc.) as I can to those around me. Ultimately, however, in both scenarios I would be driven by fear rather than good will towards the doing of my deeds. Therefore, i would choose to ignore that particular knowledge and live life unaffected by that omen, because I would rather live a short, unaccomplished life that I control rather than allowing fear to dictate my actions.

Have as many babies as I could and try to become a teacher so I can have a lasting effect on the future.

have as much fun as possible. i would go spend as much time with my good friends and family as possible. i would explore as many countries as i could with my friends/family. get laid. have at least 5 wild wild wild parties(or go to them). i would also try to go to the beach a lot cause i love the beach.
main point of everything id do would be to have fun and enjoy my last days/years of life.
