I got a 177 GB Hard Drive on my desktop and a 61.9 GB on my Laptop . I am thinking of installing Vista Home Premium on my laptop and desk top. What is the max hard drive space needed for either ? and would I need to spend money on getting a bigger hard drive ?. And if I do purchase this, how easy is it to partition the hard drives for the laptop and desktop to make those emergency recovery settings?

MS recommends a 40GB drive with at least 15GB for Vista (but I'd do 30GB, just to be safe)

Partitioning should be just as easy or easier than XP is. During installation, make a new partition just big enough for Vista, leave the rest unallocated. Once in windows, you can partition the rest however you like.

You'll need to go to the Windows Vista homepage and choose an edition and review it's system requirements. Link below.
