Yes, we recovered from the dark times of the Reagan/first Bush administration, this is a bigger mess, but if Bill Clinton can do it there is somebody else that can also.

It is a bit late re reputation! Given the current invasion of illegal and legal aliens (foreign nationals) from Mexico, Central America, South America, and other third world countries, the U.S.A. as we have known and enjoyed is almost over. Our values and culture are being destroyed. We are now dependent upon Communist China for most of our goods. Soon, nothing will be made in the U.S.A., consequently, no jobs that pay enough to have even an average lifestyle. Our national debt is in the trillions of dollars and the enforcement of U.S. Immigration statutes has collasped. Hillary is not the answer, neither is the Muslim, Baracka bin Hussein Obama. Edwards or Richardson is the best qualified hope. Remember, all countries and governments come and go. The U.S.A. is no exception. The question now is not reputation, but survival.

of course that's going to. just about all of the previous 40 two Presidents had scandals and the country remains status. Bush's scandals are approximately customary on the Richter scale. We constantly define historic previous by making use of the 2d wherein we live. i'm specific human beings concept President Washinton's dealing with of the Whiskey insurrection grew to become into an outrage. human beings concept President Harding's Teapot Dome scandal grew to become into the main stunning disaster the country had ever experienced. Gerald Ford, James Garfield and William Henry Harrison have been our maximum ethical Presidents because of the fact the did no longer have sufficient time in workplace to make a mistake. analyze generally taking place components and you will locate that there are/have been people who constantly concept that their modern administration grew to become into the worst in historic previous.

George W. Bush has single handedly (or with a hand up his shirt) dismantled the entire reputation and philosophy of the Conservative movement. His perversion of the Republican Party into a Corporate Oligarchy has disenfranchised the peoples of the world like no other.
Once he's gone, sanity will be restored.

What! One retard follows the next and so on. I'm 48 and haven't seen nothing special in any of them since Ive been alive! Our manufacturing base is all but gone and now the service sector is being inundated by migrant workers and every body's happy unless your trying to make a living in this damn unfit country. Both party's are trying to kill this country as fast as they can and all I can do is keep my head down and keep my a*s moving. All I can say is "in coming get your head's down".

I think that speaks poorly of the many American that are MENTALLY CHALLENGED. Brutality is not often the goal of this population. The US has more potential to improve the world than anyone else. One day we will come together and give trillions of dollars to a nation to rebuild it instead of give trillions to destory it. One day we will ingore taking power and focus on giving power. That is the day we become a great Nation.

In this country we have a President or Commander-In-Chief. Have you ever thought that you might be part of the perception problem people have of this country? What do you think people think of us when we look like a bunch of spoiled snots? When our politicians spend more time calling names than they do passing laws? This country is doing fine, as is our President. Thanks

Judging from your other answers, it is likely that America itself may never recover, let alone its reputation. Speak out against war, and you are branded Anti-Bush, and furthermore, unAmerican. Support Bush, and you are perceived as a redneck bloodthirsty Anti-Muslim warmonger.
There's no winning. Is no peace the price of freedom?

It will, although it's going to take quiet a while. It will also be difficult to undo all of the wrongs that have been done. Many around the world right now see the U.S. a war mongering nation: shoot first, ask questions later. That can change....
We really need to learn to give peace a chance..................
