YES!!
Go to the store and get yourself Monostat and take care of it NOW. There is also an over the counter pill that works wonders to help get things back to normal "AZO Yeast", take it 3 times a day with a full glass of water. Buy some Epsom salts and throw a handful into a hot bath and soak for 15 minutes 3 times a day. If you are still miserable after 48 hours call your doctor and tell them you have a yeast infection and need to (a) be seen today, or (b) call in Difulcan for you. Diflucan is a pill that will kill the yeast and it's VERY effective. Have the name and phone number of your fave pharmacy before you even call your doctor. Some times they'll just call it in for you so be prepared for that.
Wear cotton panties, change them twice a day while you have this infection and put on a fresh pantyliner every couple of hours.
If your doctor asks you to come in to the office just go! It could be something other than a yeast infection so go find out what's going on. Best of luck to you.

Besides the pain, itchiness and discomfort that arise from yeast infection, the chance of an untreated yeast infection developing into other complication is rare. Nevertheless, it does occur, especially in chronic yeast infections. One such medical condition that may develop as a result of an untreated yeast infection is a blood condition called sepsis. This is a deadly condition of the blood stream that results from the spread of bacteria.
Another medical condition that may arise if the yeast infection is left untreated is vulvovaginal candidiasis. It is an inflammation of the vulva and the vagina Such condition is more common for women who have three or more yeast infections in a year.

not sure of the extent of damage it could cause if left untreated, but i have a couple of tips you might use... they say it's better to take showers instead of baths, and there is an over-the-counter supplement called acidophilus that will help prevent yeast infections. hope this helps. :)

I have heard that when left untreated over many years it can cause cancer but I have never found any medical website to back that up. These links tell you more about it and how to prevent it. It can even come from food allergies.

You can't live with any ongoing infections. Your body will pay.
It's easy to cure.If the OTC cream doesn't work, ask your doctor for a prescription.
Good luck.Your sexual partners will become infected too.

don't think it will go away on its own. and it may not kill you, but i bet it could make you incredibly miserable and/or sterile.
