No they don't. Formula is hard for a baby to digest. So it gets blocked up in the intestines, and causes constipation quite often.

I breastfed only for the first 4 months and now have a supplement bottle as well so I can say from experience that formula fed babies should pass more stools than a breastfed. It is normal for a breastfed baby to pass a stool only once every other day or even every two days. As long as they are urinating 4 or 5 times a day. Once we started formula she started going every single day. The doctor told me it was normal for breastfed to go not as often as formula fed as well. It's possible it varies though so talk to a doctor if you want to be sure your child is doing well.

No, formula fed babies do not have as many stools as breast fed babies. The formula takes longer to digest than breast milk.

A breast fed baby will have a soiled pamper after every feeding. Formula fed babies are not as often because it does take longer to digest.

That would make sense since breast milk is a natural laxative but on the other hand breast milk is better digested then formula so there is less waste to excrete. I don't know since I never gave my babies formula.

Formula is harder to digest than breastmilk, so formula fed babies may not have as many bowel movements a day as a breasfed baby would.

Its the other way around. My baby only poops every three to four days and her doctor said that its normal for breastfed babies to do so, but when the days come that she poops it gets all over, and I mean all over!!! It seems like it doesnt stop and I end up having to clean up everything her, her clothes and whatever she was laying on at the time. My son was the same way.

I have heard that that is the case. My daughter is breastfed and goes constantly! My step-mom formula fed her boys, and constantly talks about how they would always get constipated.
