Loving relationships are the best thing about being alive and they do last. Even if the relationship is broken by death or some other means, it will always be a part of you. Bits of it will live on in all the people who know you. Relationships never die.
I want them because there is no other reason to live.

Does everything have to be permanent? I don't think so.
I'm of the "no day but today" mentality myself. I'd rather enjoy something for a short time than not at all. You never know how much longer you have, so you might as well embrace the good things that come for the time you have them instead of focusing on when they'll be gone.
