I wouldn't worry about your weight gain especially if it's a lousy 12 lbs. You are more than halfway there and 12 lbs is great. I am 36 weeks pregnant with my third and my gain has been 20 lbs . Which I am happy about because I gained 50 lbs with my other two children!!! My doc, along with numerous articles I have read say that 25 - 35 lbs is a normal healthy weight gain for pregnancy. Heavier women should be more towards the 25 lb mark. So eat up and remember your pregnant, you can get away with it. If your annoyed by your family's comments towards your weight gain, either tell them to mind their own business and keep their comments to themselves, or do not include them in on details like your weight gain. Best wishes to you and your baby, and congrats!!!!

Hey, dont worry about gaining weight especially if thats all youve gained so far. Im only 4 months an have gained 12-15 lbs (now im having twins too so...) But also base it along your pre-pregnancy weight/build. Slimmer women need to gain more weight usually then heavier women, due to fat percentage. I read about this when I was pregnant with my daughter. So because I am usually slim when Im not pregnant, I was more likely to gain a bit more weight then some one who is heavier set. So dont worry! As long as your not gaining insane weight your fine, and as long as you feel good... Take care

Don't worry about gaining too much weight! You are half way through your pregnancy-the average weight gain is usually 30-35 lbs! I gained 32 lbs when I was pregnant! So you are half way through and have only gained 12 lbs! Way to go!!:)

12 lbs...that is great...I gained a total of 40 pounds and after the baby went right back down to my normal size (size 8) Don't worry...you are fine!!! The doctors would most definetly tell you if you were too big!!!

As long as you r eating healthy and excercising on a regular basis you shouldn't have anything to worry about. Just make sure that u have established good eating habits. Even though you may have a number of cravings, you should keep the junk food to a minimal, as they will bump your weight up. Hope this helps.

you have not gained too much weight. Your family is being too hypocritical.
IF your dr. says you are fine then you are fine. Don't worry about it and enjoy your pregnancy.

You should refer to what your Dr. says in terms of weight gain. Those who are underweight prepregnancy are advised to gain more then those who are average weight- and those who are overweight are advised to limit their weight gain.
Don't take others advise on weight gain- only your doctor can tell you what is right and what is not.

don't listen to the ones that tell me you have put on too much weight ( I hate it when people say this). Every person is different, as long as you have a good diet, and you midwife is happy so should you too!!
