hi i seen a wooden nice stand at a pet store today and it was marked down it was to be for a 40 gallon critter reptile aquarium and i asked if it was possible to fit a fish aquarium on it and if so what size would work if u can help please let me know thanks also they said that the critter aquarium is wider so would it work or not ?

Okay, again, take the measurement of the stand and then measure the aquarium that you are considering buying. Because reptile tanks often have different measurements than fish aquariums, this really is the only way that you can be sure that a fish aquarium is going to fit. If you had the measurements of the stand, we could tell you what gallon size of an aquarium to get, but without that, we can't make an exact suggestion.

Wel if they said that the critter aquarium is Bigger then you should go a little smaller on the tank for your fish. You don't need a really big fish tank unless you have more then 150 fish. Trust me some people do have more then 150 fish! You should measure the aquarium and then measure the stand. Make sure you know where you are going to put it though! Good Luck

ugggh if its a 40 breeder then you can just put any 30X18 size tank on it, and it will be fine, otherwise if its a standard 40 galon tank you need a 36X13 tank

the weight should not be an issue

by the way you can also use, 30 breeder, 50 breeder and the oceanic 58 custom on that stand

Reptile tanks may not have glass thick enough to support water weight. The same could be true of the stand. Find out for sure.

Take the measurements. If your tank will sit completely on the stand you are in business.
