If you recently quit your job, and you have yet to return their property i.e badge, uniform, and other things?

What will they do? Can they take legal action against you?

They will request for it if it is important enough (i.e. security reason like keys or ID badges that may gain you access to sensitive information). However, wait for them to ask for it. And if you do have to send it in and don't really want to show your face in the company, just tell them that you will mail it to them. Also you can request for them to send over your termination papers and final check.

Most companies don't do anything about name badges but can sue you in civil court for the value of any other properties such as uniforms. However, by depending upon which state you live in, they cannot hold your check. Here in Virginia they can say they are going to hold your paycheck but it is against the law. The employer must go to civil court and sue you.

Like ive worked at Eckerds/Walrgreens and CVS and have all of their uniforms still in my closet.
