How is the world going to end?

How is the world going to end, or just mankind in general. Do you have a religious POV or scientific?
Just share your thoughts.

Personally, I think it'll be nuclear bombing. If not that, then global warming. It's bound to catch up with us eventually. But we'll all be dead by then anyway.

It could be 28 minutes from now or 280 years from now. When the superpowers square off against each other in two camps, then come back and we'll talk apacolpse.

Until then, just think regional conflicts, wars between rump states, proxy wars and brinksmanship. If you recall the Yom Kippur War in 1973, a coalition of Arab States (Egypt, Syria and Jordan) were soundly defeated by the Israelis. That was a worse situation than the current conflict and it didn't raise a blip on the world war radar (not that it didn't have the potential to spark a global war).

The next World War will involve a nuclear exchange, how could it not. In the first 30 minutes, nearly a billion people will have been vaporised, mostly in the US, Russia, Europe, China and Japan. Another 1.5 billion will die shortly thereafter from radiation poisoning. The northern hemisphere will be plunged into prolonged agony and barbarity.

Eventually the nuclear winter will spread to the southern hemisphere and all plant life will die. You ask when is the apacolypse, you are asking when will we commit global suicide. My answer is it won't happen soon because the larger superpowers are more rational than the rump states in the middle east.

Our biggest risk is an accidental launch of nukes by one of the nuclear powers.

Someone will throw a big party, everyone will want to attend. There will not be enough party hats and noisie makers so a man will drive to the airport to get some more, The mans tire will explode when he is cornering on Mullholland drive, the tire pressure cap, a skulls head that is gold chromed will fly into the fan belt of a peterbuilt moving van that is going to peurto viallto on the brazilian coast and be ejected into space where it will knock a chunk off a passing asteroid that will in turn break the largest meotoroid inthe Van Allen Ort Cloud into two large pieces.
One of the pieces will wander into Mars the other will crash into Prudoe Bay creating a tidal wave that will eventually flood the Earth and and upset the orbital position of the planet.
The Earth will get so close to the sun that the water will boil and all the peoples that built underwater townhouses will be like spaghetti noodles.
Or not.

Global warming = fraud. The global environment is cyclical.

But the world will end in the apocolypse as in Revelations. No big surprise here, Some say it points to a Nuclear holocost.
But I'm gonna be watching from the right side.

Well lets see ,The lord made a covenant with Noah after he flooded the world that he would not destroy the world with water again but by fire. Now the bible is a two edged sword meaning there are two meanings to everything in it. A physical meaning and a spiritual meaning. Thus a fiery death ie... a nuclear war, or a solar flare, maybe, in the physical sense. Now the spiritual meaning as defined by the bible taking into account that "text without context is pretext", would be that "fire" is a reference to the Word of God. Now to the east of the garden of Eden after Adam and Eves mistake, the Lord placed a "flaming sword" (or the word of God) and two cherubim( or angels/mesengers) to keep the way "to" not from the Garden of Eden (the word/name Eden literally means "the heart of God"). Jesus was one of these angels/messengers, he was a manifestation of the word of God and alot of the prophecies in the bible in hidden form are talking about him. Yet the other messenger has yet to appear or manifest. If we go back to the book of Daniel and his interpretation of the handwriting on the wall. Which was "Mene Mene Tekel Upharson" likewise it has two meanings. One; as in almost every early society the letters of their alphabets had a numerical meaning ie... Mene-1000, Mene-another 1000, Tekel-500, upharsen- and 20. Equaling 2520. The word definitions meaning "I God give you the Kings, Queens and Princes upon the earth this long to live, reign and rule upon the earth, then I'm taking over". Now most would agree that God is good and not evil therefore the end of the world in an evil sense or physical fire and pain is not what he would do. Or what he means "spiritually"; that by some form of his word referenced as "fire" he would take over as the ruling authority in the world. Thus "I John saw a new heaven and a new earth "(not physically), but in a spiritual sense as defined by the word of God). Now bible historians agree that they think Daniel was alive in 520 B.C. At the A.D.- B.C. split, a year was skipped or not counted. Now add that, it is 521 then add 2007 years which makes 2528 years which mean we are 8 years past the proposed date in Daniels interpretation. But wait, according to the Lord himself he would be in the grave for three days right? Now taking in to account that bible also states that "a day to the Lord is a thousand years and a thousand years is as one day", and taking into account that the word of God is a two edged sword with a spiritual meaning and a physical meaning and the three physical days already long passed, then three thousand years later jesus would rise from the grave or again. Then take into account that God said he would "shorten the time for his elects sake". So in essence it's not the end of the world physcally, but the end of the world as we know it, ie "And God himself shall wipe away all the tears from their eyes". And referring back to John the baptist as a foreshadowing of someone in the future after his death saying "make straight your paths, prepare ye the way of the Lord". So don't let these people with their own interpretations scare you as they know it not. Rather as it is written; "those that wait upon the Lord will mount up with wings as eagles".

The population of the world, now nearly 7 billion, is growing exponentially. We will soon have 15 billion people. This is far too many people for the earth's resources to support. With such a high population, diseases will travel very quickly as the world becomes more crowded and more connected. So, I think it will probably be a pandemic outbreak of a new or existing disease.

Judging from the answers some of the so-called chosen people are giving this could take quite a while.

Contrary to popular belief God is not going to let us quit till everyone figures out the way to get back home.

The fantasy about hell is just a lie about God that was made up to give a few holier than thows someone to feel better than. God loves us too much to let a single soul become lost.

The biggest threat to mankind at the moment is viral infections. If the earth was really dying we have the technology to colonize on a small scale on the moon. I don't believe we will wipe ourselves out, and we are adaptable enough to survive any environmental disasters. I believe the human race will live long after the earth has died.

I do not believe that the earth will end. but instead goes through a series of renewing it's self.

The world per say is more like the way a society governs itself.ie..the new world order...that in itself by definition is a world governing power.
Science has shown us from the origins of the earth it continually goes through changes..just like the seasons..with winter there is a type of death which isn't death at all but being dormant and with the spring there is a rebirth...
