Where is the best place to meet people and make so friends. I dont go to clubs since Im recovering alcaholic.

The work place is a great opportunity to make friends; invite colleagues for a coffee at lunch or after work.
Where do your interests lie? There are hundreds of clubs for just about everything from gardening to reading.
Take a class in something that interests you.
Art, self defence, languages etc.
Volunteer at some local community group or a charity.
Animal welfare and charity thrift-shops are always looking for help.
What about sports, you could take up a team sport, join a gym
or just join a walking group.
Neighbours, anyone nearby you might like to get to know?
Introduce yourself and strike up a conversation.
It takes time to make friends but you need to put yourself into situations where you meet and see the same people on a regular basis.
