I recorded video onto a DVD-RW from a digital video camara. I didn't finalize the disc, and I don't have the camara anymore, but when I put the disc in the computer, it reads it as a blank disc. How do I finalize the disc, or make the files readable on the computer?

In order to be able to playback your movie in different player than your camera than you need to finalize the disc.
I don't think there's another way you need the camera in order to do so.

You don't need the source (in this case the camera) to finalize a disc. Your problem is elsewhere.

Example: Your disc could be DVD-RW, but your PC does not support this format (most PCs for example use DVD+R/W).

Or, you think you recorded, but actually you did not!

So, make sure the Disc format and the drive match.
You may want to try another drive.

Hi Brian,

I hate to say it but I don't think it can be done. You might try a data recovery company.

I wish I could help more. I tried a little research via the net & came up blank.
