Sure, use Link.

Go to anysite you want, say: Yahoo.com. At Yahoo.com page, hold down the mouse and drag the icon that in the address box (where the address is), and drop it into the Link folder (right click and check Link if it doesn't appear). From now on, everytime you want to go to Yahoo, without typing "yahoo.com", click on Yahoo that you just saved into Link. Also, if you want to rename a link, right click it and select rename.

I think you're referring to Firefox's bookmarks toolbar folder, if so - then IE used to (I don't know about their latest and most digusting looking version) have a "links" folder under the favourites menu.

Anything you put in there would show up on a links toolbar if you chose to display it (View - Toolbars - Links).

That is IE-7 but I am not sure what little buttons you are referring to.

Well, those would be in your favorites folder. However, the new Yahoo! toolbar http://toolbar.yahoo.com lets you create your own buttons.
