who on here loves thunderstorms.. or the sound of rain??why do you like it?

i love thunderstorms they put me to sleep and when they dont i love sitting in my room and looking at the lighting..

But when you were little were you scared of them??

i was so scared of them.. lol

why do you think people are scared of them at first but then like them when they are older???

thunderstorms are pretty sweet it's fun to watch the lightning. I love when ur in the middle of a storm outside and it's horrifyingly serene then all of a sudden the storm explodes.

Oh boy thunderstorms...is there anythign more beautiful?

There is just somethign so primal and primitive about them.

I always find myself staring out the window thinking this is the same rain that fell years ago for our Grandparents, and for their Grandparents. And the rain just keeps getting recycled, and there is just somethign so beautiful about that. And I also know that one day my grandchildren will get to sit outside the window and watch the same rain fall. And they too will be humbled by the beauty and power of nature.

I think part of why people like them so much, is because we live in such a technological world, and often times nature is forced to take a back seat. But when there is a thunderstorm it's like nature screaming at us, and we have to pay attention. And somethign so natural and so primitive is just so unlike the computers and televisions that we surround ourselves with everyday. And I think that inside each of us there is something that just loves nature. (even if we are those people who hate bugs)

Oh, I love thunderstorms! I love to be woken up in the middle of the night by the sound of thunder.
Like to sit outside on the porch during rain or the storm, too.

I enjoy thunderstorms when I'm home alone, but if the kids are around, forget it! They get scared and drive me crazy. I think I enjoy rain and storms because they make the world seem so peaceful. It kinda hides the sounds of distant traffic and such, and everything seems quieter. When I was a kid, we had a big front porch that we spent a lot of time on - it had a swing, and a wide bannister that my mom always kept plants and flowers on. We would fight for who got to sit on the swing and who got stuck on the lawn chairs, especially on warm rainy nights because we all loved to be out on the porch then. Sometimes we even slept out there. Our house was really old, and we had slate sidewalks, and the raindrops would really bounce on them. My mom told us it was fairies dancing. Fond memories...

I don't like thunderstorms.

I was playing outside when it started to rain, then my hair all stood on end..and lightning struck not 10 feet away.

It was scary !

I do love to watch rain fall, and to dance in the Summer rain.

And the sound of rain and DISTANT rumbles of thunder lulls me to sleep.

I am also scared of storms because I was once in a tornado.

When I was a pup, my grandfather and I would sit out in the porch during every thunderstorm. Every time I hear, smell rain and listen to a storm, I think of my dear old missed grandfather.

I think quiet storms are sexy but loud thunderstorms can be scary. It is good to have someone around to make you feel secure about the storm then its cool!

I like the sound of rain it is fine as long as I am not getting wet! I like it because it reminds me that I am inside or not to go outside... lol. Lightning is one thing--thunder is another! I have no problem looking at the light flash around its the actual sound of thunder which can be so unpleasant. That is nice you can fall asleep to it cus I cant!
