Im 15 years old this year and is an asian.
Whenevr i put eyeliner on my lower eyelid, i will end up looking like a goth.
I have really huge eyes and putting on eyeliner on my lower eyelid will only make it bigger and scary.
How do I put eyeliner the way Rachel Bilson does and still look sweet and NOT scary?

Alright, I reckon if you're very fair maybe a tinted mosturiser first and then like a light brown pencil liner. Other wise dont use dark liners! I recently got this metallic baby blue eyeliner and its been getting me a lot of compliments! Sure... u wont look like rachel, u might look better! OR theres those wicked gel liners that are like sparkley get a black or brownish/golden one! They're very thin but sparkle really nicely!!!! THEYD BE PERFECT =D!

I'm Asian too, so I should know some of this stuff!

When I apply eyeliner on my bottom eyelid, I smudge it a little, and I make sure that eyeliner does not extend too much below my actual eyelid line.

Also, you should make the outer edge darker and thicker, and thin the line out as you get closer to the inner edge of your eye. This way, it will look soft, smooth, and not gothic.

I recommend the eyeliner "Black Sparkle" by Maybelline, because it's a nice, dark black color that doesn't need much applied to the eye. Also, there are pretty sparkles! :) Good luck...

I recommend using the a little bit on the edge of your eyelid. Also lay off the black it can sometimes smear and make you look gothic..lol. sometimes you can even use the slightest bit of eyeshadow as I believe Rachel Bilson is wearing. Hope this helps!

hey. i'm asian too, and i try to look like rachel bison, nicole richie, etc... it's just not possible! the closest thing you could do is probably use the purple shadow that she's using and then make a thin line with a dark brown (not black) eyeliner pencil. black is the color that will make you look all the more goth.

personally, i think that you should just stick to eyeliner on top and then a line with shadow on the bottom. this way, your eyes don't look bigger than they need to be, and you don't have to look goth either. hope i helped!

Well, you must realize that you probably have a very different face then she does. But if you want to know how she does it, I'll tell you how I'd copy it: Use a pencil, not a creme, liquid, or powder liner and apply right next to the eye, like uncomfortably close and then use a liner brush and put the same color of shadow that you use on the eyelid and apply it very thinly and close to the original liner

Might I suggest a pencil or "crayon" (twist up with out having to be sharpened; no wood on it) in a plain, (not dark, not tan, not chocolate) brown that is perfectly sharp just around the outer corner to about mid pupil of your eye. (When your looking straight of course!) Put mascara on all of your bottem lashes, however, put an extra coat or two from where the eyeliner stops at about mid pupil on to the last lash closest to the inner corner of your eye! This should give you a lighter eyeliner look without having to cut it out all together! Hope I helped!!

You should only put it on the upper eyelid. I have almond-shaped eyes, a bit bigger but almond nonetheless (Eastern Cherokee) and it looks weird if I put it on my lower eyelids. Just put it on the top and you'll be fine :) I use one that's a deep brown instead of black as well, to go with the olive skin tone.

Something else I usually do to not have it look that way is put white eye shadow on the inner corner of my eye beforehand. That brings out almond eyes nicely.

Try using an angled brush and a dark eyeshadow. That way you can apply it lightly and the line won't be as severe. You could also try starting from the center of the lid and working your way out, instead of going from corner to corner. Also try a charcoal on your eyes instead of black. Your eyes might be a different shape than hers but try a few different techniques and you should find one that works for you.

I think it will look pretty to apply eyeliner to your eyes. What's wrong with looking like a goth? Last time i checked that wasn't a bad thing. if you have huge eyes then a bit more eyeliner will accentuate that

Try wearing brown-black eyeliner and take your time applying on....Also if you want to make it more fun looking try a color like pink, blue, purple eyeliner just to shake things up...
I'm sure you are a beautiful girl and don't need make up...
But this is the best advice I can give you.Good luck!
