I'm talking about the musical movie version with Emmy Rossum and Gerard Butler. They kept showing the ring, when he snatched it from her, then down in the cave, and then when she gave it back to her, and at the end when it was next to her grave. I think that maybe it signified that she would always love him in some way.

I think in the same way that you do. I believe that Christine loved both Raoul and the Phantom, just in different ways. Andrew Lloyd Webber backs this up in a quote where he say that she loved Raoul in her emotional, innocent, awakening as a teenager, and The Phantom in a deep, soulful, passion. I think that Christine gave the ring to The Phantom because although he let her leave with Raoul, she saw how much this hurt him, in his deep love for her. I also think that another reason she gave him the ring was because she did love him, just not in the same sense as she did Raoul.

a million. Christine Daae, yet i think of her buddy could actual get extra interest, yet no way Carlotta! 2. Phantom, Raoul is that this type of wimp! 3. think of of Me, the track is so captivating, its in my variety, i like to pretend i'm able to sing it like her, LOL.

I didn't get that part the first few times I saw it. I guessed it to mean that she would always think of him and she was giving him the ring as a reminder of that.
There is a big goof in that scene that cracks me up everytime. One minute he's holding the ring in his palm after she gives it back to him. The next he walks over and starts breaking the mirrors as if he was never holding anything.
