i mainly want to know what it does to the speed of the desktop and add anything else that may be important please

what doese this speed difference look like in an application? ex. huge game, video editing, etc.

the clock speed is slightly faster 2.2Ghz [3800] vs. 2.0Ghz [3400]

In real world banchmarks, you won't notice much of a difference.

According to the benchmarks provided by AMD the 3800 is 14% faster at load apps, processing graphics, and various other functions then the 3400.

In addition the core clock speed for the 3800 is 2200mhz the core clock speed for the 3400 is either 1800 or 2000 mhz depending on the version. Another indication of the differences in speed.

A bit of clock speed.

If you believe their numbers... about 12% in the CPU performance, so less than that in real life in identical PCs.

Not a lot else different really.
