What is this "iPod Software Update" (version 1.3) supposed to do exactly? A window asking if I would like to update my iPod software, what is that supposed to do? I clicked update, and it's going to take 3 hours! I would like to know what it's going to do before I wait three hours for an update. Please help me.
I've had offers for update before but I couldn't get it because I don't have broadband internet. Is it the same update?

3 hours!?!? impossible..if it's 3 hours on a slow connection it might be the enitre itunes and quicktime update. Download the update it's worth it.

No ipod update should take 3 hours.. To load the software only takes 3 minutes.. I would go to the apple site and check the validity of the program..

Ipod, Microsoft, gamehouse games, most software companies improve or update their product to compete with, or keep up with there competition. Instead of going down and having to buy a new ipod that plays the music better, you can downloan it for free.

I think it just allows for faster downloads and more storage space.

i don't know that much about "iPods", but if you are using dialup....it takes forever for ANYTHING with dialup.
