Last night I had some kind of a breakdown. I looked in the mirror and saw a disgustingly fat and ugly person and thought that was the reason why my life wasnt going great. Sometimes I look in the mirror and see a beauty queen, on the days I see the fat/ugly girl i want to die...I filled the tub w/ water got in fully clothed and tried to drown myself...I eventually gave up and took sleeping pills to get some sleep. I woke up this morning and looked in the mirror and was like "what was I thinking? I look good"....Why? Why does my mind play tricks on me? Have you ever considered suicide over your looks?

Try not basing how you feel on what you look like from day to day. We are our worst critic. Instead consider how you treat people, how you feel about what you do on a daily basis your foundation for living a life full of purpose. Kindness, compassion, empathy are more important traits than physical looks. Society is too stuck on outer appearance. However, looks are often deceiving. One persons beautiful may be another person's not so beautiful. Reality is a perception and everyone has a perception and they are not always in agreement.

No. Never. Although when I was in school I would get picked on alot over my looks. I didn't dress well at all! I had ugly glasses...I was labled'four eyes'. Very cliche I know. I'm 20 now and dress VERY different now. I am a size 12 and 5'8". I tell everybody that I am fat. But I honestly LIKE the way that I look. Just look at yourself in the morning and say,"I'm beautiful just the way God made me and I'm not going to think otherwise just to satisfy other people."

Call 1-800-Suicide if you ever feel like that again. Another thing, stop buying the stupid magazines that have pictures of how they think you should look and stop watching the stupid t.v. programs that do the same thing.

Go to YouTube and look up EvaDeadBeat and watch some of her older videos, she totally makes fun of the societal pressure to fit into a cookie-cutter mold of beauty. She will make you laugh and feel so much better about yourself!

Concentrate on your features that you love. Rely more on what's in your brain and in your heart and improve on those qualities, becaues that is where true beauty comes from.

No, you stress too much on your looks. Let your qualities stick out themselves! If a person is beautiful on the inside, it shows outside.Beneath every person, there is this beautiful person that you should show it. For those who cant see it, too bad. They are those superficial ignorant b*tch and bastards. Honey, dont give in and accept the person you are and not the person that everybody wants you to be and to look like.

I live happily, cos then for those broken souls can see in me the light and ask me how come? I will say Jesus - the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

Most definitely yes. I don't see why you're obsessing so much. Please try a diet even though its hard to stick to it. Just remember, there are people like family, friends, new and old ones, that would be devastated if you go. You have done so much for them. Being of a mixed parentage, I get teased a lot too. I know how you're feeling, but a lot of ppl are overweight and mine is quite a different problem. Please. You know you love yourself because you have a great inner beauty. I have a lot of overweight friends and they have suffered yes, but its what makes you different that makes you teh person you are now. Just imagine, if your'e slim and slender, would you be the person you are now? No. Just try to lose some weight and move on. Lots of luv.

not sure of how old you are but hormones and your body changing can effect the way you see your image I'm 21 and i still have days wear nothing looks right and i wish i could look different.... suicide isn't something that you should look at lightly..... i really think you should speak to someone either your parents, school counsellor older friend and tell them how you feel... that fact that you wanted to end your own life because you did like you appearance tells me that their may be a chemical imbalance where you have highs and lows and when your on a low you think the worst of yourself and really feel that you don't want to be alive...really you need to talk to someone about this.....

Gabbi you need to call you local mental health services honey. You have just attempted suicide, and you did it with a plan. Those are symptoms that cant be ignored. You may get depressed and do it again. When you get this call your parents or someone you trust then have your self admitted for a 72 hour evaluation. Okay.

Your case is very extreme you should consider seeing someone...I mean you should reallly consider seeing someone and focus on the positive side of your looks and TRY to change the negative side of your looks...I have never considered a suicide over my looks, but I try at least to change the bad side of my looks in a HEALTHY way. I am seeing results within like 3 weeks...GOOD LUCK!! Don't go too extereme...

I have actually, although i really regret it now. Sometimes you are so happy with yourself and how you look and other times...you just aren't. Try to remember no matter how bad you look one day it always passes and it's definitly not worth killing yourself over. It just seems when you are happy with who you are, no one else is. Let it slide and remember you ARE beautiful...and a bad hair day will never change that :] good luck girllll.

Everybody thinks they look worse then everyone else views them. Its how you pull off the way you look that counts. Oprah is fat. But she is confident and "owns" the room. Even if you dont feel confident ...act like it. And suicide never solves anything. What if you screw it up and end up a drooling vegetable? How would you look then?
